The four-term advantage

Two courses at a time. Full focus on each.

Instead of juggling eight subjects, our students take two courses per term in a four-term year, similar to the system used in Australia. You go deeper, retain more, and can start at four points in the year — or finish faster with summer school.

  • 110 hoursof instruction in every credit course

Online hybrid learning model

Study online — never alone.

Our online courses follow a hybrid approach because we believe live teacher–student interaction is vital to complete learning.

  • Online lessons you can study at your own pace, in parallel with class work.
  • Live classes for online students, so you stay focused and connected.
  • Live feedback and personal attention from your teacher.
  • Ongoing progress monitoring, so problems are corrected as they arise.

What students say

In their own words.

“The school is very good and the teachers are excellent. It's a new experience, and you make friends from different countries. The teachers explain very well because they know each subject deeply, and they have the patience to explain when you don't understand.”

FAQ

Questions, answered.

See all questions
Are Innocent Hearts credits recognized by universities and colleges?

Yes. Innocent Hearts is a private secondary school inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education (BSID 886638). Every credit you earn here — in class or online — counts toward your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and appears on your Ontario Student Transcript, which universities and colleges accept.

How long does it take to complete a course?

Each credit course includes 110 hours of instruction. In our four-term model you study two courses at a time and complete them in roughly ten weeks. Summer courses run for one month, and online students working full-time can often finish two courses in about two months.

When can I start?

Admissions are open all year. Full-time and part-time students can begin at the start of any of our four terms (September, November, February or April), summer students in July or August, and online students at almost any time.

What documents do I need to enrol?

Proof of status in Canada (passport, PR card or permit), proof of the course prerequisite (a transcript or report card), your Ontario Education Number (OEN) if you have one, and your Ontario health card where applicable.

Can I take a course while attending my regular high school?

Absolutely. Many of our students take a night-school, weekend, summer or online course to get ahead, free up their timetable or improve a mark — and we send the final mark to their home school.

Will you update my university or college application with my new mark?

Yes. Tell us which applications you've made (OUAC for university, OCAS for college) when you enrol and we'll make sure your final mark is reported.

Ministry-inspected and accountable. Innocent Hearts is a private secondary school inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education to grant OSSD credits (BSID 886638). Our families come from Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon, Bolton, Etobicoke and across the GTA.

Admissions open year-round
